Standing in a building that has celebrated its centennial, the Lower Street Inn is the pride of Sally and Dale Heining, a hardworking couple that transformed 296 Lower Street from drafty farmhouse to cozy abode, and today, into the most inviting inn of Augusta.

The pair moved into the house over three decades ago, they were mesmerized by the verdant hills and sublime terrain

of the wine country that embraces the residence. In the years that followed, the Heinings dedicated themselves to the felicitous tasks of family life and renovation, raising their two sons while thoughtfully restoring their home. After moving down the street, the couple is proud to invite visitors to continue the story of 296 Lower Street, and begin to craft that of the Lower Street Inn.

For the Heinings, it will always be a home full of life, and now it is an inn to live your own.
